How quickly will I get my order?

We know you are anxious to "cut the cord" and be truly wireless again. All orders placed by 2pm (EST) Monday - Friday will ship the same day. Orders placed after 2pm (EST) will ship the following business day.

Is my Battery in Stock?

Most laptop batteries are in stock at one of our many distribution centers throughout the US. If an item in not available for immediate shipping, we will notify you and give you an estimated ship date.

Can I just pick up my battery?

Absolutely! If you live or will be in Columbus, Ohio you can pick up your order at any Laptop Guy location. Simply select store pick-up as a shipping option.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

Sales Tax?

The Laptop Guy applies sales tax to all orders shipped to Ohio.

Do you ship to other countries?

Yes! We will ship to Canada, Mexico, and anywhere in the United States and US Virgin Islands.

What is the warranty period?

Our batteries come with a one year warranty from date of purchase. If you experience a defect with your purchase, we will replace it at no charge.

Battery Charge FAQ

Laptop Guy Batteries meet original equipment manufacturer capacity standards and under normal use will provide 90 to 180 minutes of charge capacity or more. Some of the main factors that impact how fast a battery discharge are the age of the battery, processing applications in use, screen size and brightness.

Battery Life FAQ

The best way to maximize battery life is to adjust the settings in your laptop. The biggest user of energy on your laptop is by far the LCD. By simply adjusting the brightness you can dramatically extend your battery life. Another good way to maximize life between charges is to minimize the number of applications running on your laptop.

Charge Cycles FAQ

Your new batteries life will vary depending on the amount and type of usage. Typically your battery will last anywhere from 600 to 800 discharge cycles, meaning going from charged to discharged. About every two years is a good time to replace a laptop battery to maintain peak performance.

Troubleshooting FAQ

Your battery will arrive in a discharged state, so be sure to allow enough time to fully charge. If after charging, you still experience problems, please check another outlet and that the battery is seated securely in your laptop.
